Struggle to Strength: The Experiences that Shaped Me, Part 1

I do recall, not too long ago, thinking this… that I want to be my friend. That I want to love my body. And I realized that it’s a choice. You have a choice to look in the mirror and put yourself down or bring yourself up. You have a choice to create the life that you want, a life that makes you happy. I have learned to love my body at every stage of this journey of life I am on. Of course, I have bad days and negative thoughts come creeping in, but when you replace negative thoughts with positive thoughts changes happen. I have also found that when I write down or think about things I am grateful for, there is no more room for negative self-talk. Gratitude is one powerful tool.
